The Room at the Head of the Stairs

This was always a sleeping room for travelers. Pony Express riders, stage-coach drivers, lawmen, sheepmen and prospectors slept in this room. One "Old Man Crow," as he was called, used to stay here twice each year. The last time he came he was 104 years old. He always rode a big white horse - even at 104 years. He was a large man with a long white beard. He always wanted this small room. This room was furnished like the other bedrooms and was used exclusively for travelers.
