The Carson Family Coloring Book

INFO: 24 pages with 22 illustrations to color. It tells the story
of George and Ann Carson joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day
Saints, moving west, settling, and their adventures along the way.
This coloring book is a favorite with the kids, and parents
too. They also make great presents for grandchildren.
The coloring book has the following pictures to color:
- George and Ann stop to hear missionaries
teaching about a new religion.
- Ann was baptized in June of 1831
and George joined about 6 months later.
- The Carsons traveled to Independence,
Missouri in 1832.
- In 1833, mobs forced the Carsons
to leve their homes.
- They were driven to Far West, a
land thought useless by Missourians.
- In 1838, the two oldest boys, William
and John, met their wives while working in the fields.
- Arriving in Illinois, the Carsons
had to build anew.
- In 1844, mobs killed the prophet
at Carthage jail.
- The beautiful city of Nauvoo and
their beloved temple was destroyed.
- The Carsons were left destitute on
the plains of Iowa.
- The Carsons spent five years trying
to obtain enough money and supplies to travel west.
- Finally they obtained the supplies
necessary to move west.
- (Map) Crossing the plains - 1851.
- September 24, 1851, the Carsons arrived
in the Salt Lake Valley.
- Three months after arriving in the
Salt Lake Valley, George died in South Cottonwood.
- The Carsons were called to settle
Fairfield, Utah in 1855.
- George and Washington were killed
by Indians in 1856 while settling Fairfield.
- Fairfield became the third largest
city in Utah when Johnston's Army arrived in 1858.
- Fairfield, Utah today.
- Ann Died February 1, 1869 in Hyde
Park, Utah.
- Each time someone is born in any
of our families, it's really a continuation of George and Ann's story.
